Format:
10 teams, each plays the others twice - home and away - for a total of 18 games each, over 18 game weeks.

Scoring points:
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss.

Table order:
1. points won; 2. total goal difference; 3. total goals scored; 4. points in head-to-head matches; 5. goal difference in hth matches; 6. goals scored in hth matches; 7. draw.

Qualification for Apertura - Final Stages:
1-4 place: qualify for Final Stages


Apertura - Final Stages:
------------

Format:
6 teams contest the Apertura champion in a knockout format.
The teams, placed 1st-2nd in the Apertura, enter the Final Stages directly at the Semi-finals.

Play-offs:
Teams are paired according to their Apertura standings:
3rd vs 6th;
4th vs 5th.
Winners are decided over one leg, with extra time and penalties if score is level after regular time.
The higher placed teams from the Apertura are hosts.

Semi-finals:
Teams are paired according to their Apertura standings:
1st vs worst placed;
2nd vs second worst placed.
Winners are decided over two legs.
The higher placed teams from the Apertura host the second legs.

Tie-breakers for the Semi-finals knockout matches:
1. aggregate score from the two legs, 2. extra time, 3. penalties.

Final:
The two Semi-finals winners meet each other with the winner becoming Apertura champion.
Winner is decided over one leg, with extra time and penalties if score is level after regular time.
The match is played at a neutral venue.

Qualification for CONCACAF competitions:
Apertura champion: CONCACAF Champions League

Format:
